Osberstown welcomes new arrivals!
May 08, sees two new companies in the process of re-locating to Osberstown. Both The Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD) and a regional office of White, Young, Green consultant engineers are in the middle of their fit out which will be completed in June.
IITD
The Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD) is the professional body which represents members involved in or concerned with human resource training and development in Ireland. Members work in all sectors – business, industry, consultancy, voluntary, public sector, education and the community.
IITD was set up in 1969 and was originally known as the IITM. They now have approximately 2,000 professional and student members throughout the country all enjoying the benefits of regional chapters.
The Irish Institute of Training & Development’s mission is:
1. To ensure (guarantee) best practice in training and development in Ireland by:
- Identifying, implementing, and monitoring international standards
- Researching and bench-marking on a continuous basis
- Providing professional education in training and development
- Influencing key stakeholders/policy makers
- Providing a basis for member certification in a way that enhances continuing professional development and thus employment opportunities
- Organising members into active networks, regionally and nationally in a way that achieves the goals of the Institute and the needs of members.
The IITD office is now located at Office Suite 4A, Sycamore House, Millennium Park, Osberstown.
White Young Green
White Young Green is an international multi-discipline consultant to the built, natural, social and economic environment. They provide a range of high quality engineering, environmental, planning and management services to a diverse range of clients in the public and private sectors representing industry, commerce, central and local government, the financial institutions, private development, the primary service utilities, transport and the retail market.
Recently, White Young Green (Ireland), have won the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) 2008 Award for Innovation for the Ropewalk Development at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay in Dublin. This year has also seen White Young Green Ireland announce their plans to recruit thirty five new graduates to serve across its four disciplines - engineering, environmental services, surveying and management and town planning. The two-year graduate programme is part of a long-term company strategy to build the future of the business through investing in continued training and professional development.
White Young Green’s new head office is now located at Ground Floor, Hazel House, Millennium Park, Osberstown.
The Osberstown team welcomes both IITD and White Young Green to the development as they bring a dynamic type of business to Osberstown and add to the established company mix within the development.
